Well it seems my post are few and far between....I am sorry for that. I have started back school, 6 weeks in. I have started a new position at the same school. I am a resource teacher and no longer a self contained teacher. I an can tell you how much more I love my job. I feel like I am in a good place. McCoy stays with my mom who also keeps Nora so they are together once again. I can not even describe the love they have for one another. When they see each other for the first time all day all is right in the world. They are precious together.
We are still living with a friend and somewhat saving money for Matt's job. His big interview with State Farm is tomorrow morning. I have no doubt in my mind that he will do amazing. We have been excited to see what places will be available for us to look at in the up coming months.
On a McCoy note he is doing great. He is now 16 months, where has the time gone?? He is healthy, smart, and I can't leave out that he is pretty darn cute too! Everyday he is learning something new. I swear he is the smartest 16 month old out there. He tries to say everything you say and is consistently pointing at things and learning new words. He loves the word "up" to me! He seems to be a little bit needy when I am around but I think I should enjoy it while I can...which is hard to do sometimes. I also think it could be a little payback for when I was little with my mom.
I took him to the doctor today because we are a little concerned with his walking, or lack there of. For the past 2 months he has been taking steps, up to 13. Now it is like we have not made progress and of course being a first time mom I worry. His ankles are rolled in more than what I thought was normal and thought that maybe that had something to do with it. So we went to the doctor and I think to give me peace of mind he referred us to an Orthopedic Pediatrician to get a second look. The doctor did not seem concerned about it. He said his muscle tone is good and everything seems to be okay for 16 months. He said that when a toddler/baby begins to excel in one area such as verbal skills that the other area(motor) will not being doing awesome....pretty much they will get it over time and not to worry until 18 months. I just didn't want to wait until 18 months and be in the exact same boat. So relieve my stress he now has a doctor appointment on Thursday to get his legs and ankles checked out.
