Feeling Better

Well I have officially started my 26th week of pregnancy and the 3rd trimester. I already feel better than I probably have my entire pregnancy. I am not as tired as I was in my 1st trimester and my back does not hurt as bad as it did in the 2nd trimester.

About a week ago I called the doctor because I was having sharp pains in my back. They came to the conclusion that I had a pinched sciatic nerve. It would stop me in my tracks....I would be walking and then all the sudden felt like a knife went in my back. This past Sunday I worked in our neighborhood front entrance and cut 24 crate myrtles.....my back was fine. The pain has not come back yet so I think I am cured for now.

So my brother-in-law, Hector, has been able to stay in touch with my sister, Lauren, pretty much every day since he has gotten a phone in Haiti. She had heard as well as Hector different times periods that they would have to stay. Anywhere from only 3 weeks to maybe 5 months. Well the official word right now is that he will be there until July 18th.....6 months. Lauren is not very happy about this and neither is Hector. So send your thoughts and prayers their way as they try and make it through the next 6 months.

  1. God puts the right people in the right places at the right times and He has put Lauren around so many people (by her being in Newnan) and the right people (i.e. her family) at the right time (i.e. while Nora Joy is very young and needs her mom the most). We have so many military (air force) friends and they've said its really hard on 2-4 yr olds who know enough to know "Dad is gone" but not enough to understand why and it can cause problems when the Dad gets home b/c they don't trust that he won't leave again. I know that probably doesn't make Lauren feel much better, but its worth the thought!
