Today Matt is 28 years old. I have been with him for 11 of those years. It doesn't seem like that long but somehow time has flown and I am celebrating his birthday with him for the eleventh time....kinda crazy. It has been a crazy ride that has made it calmly to this point in our life. Married with a little one and I could not be happier. He went out to lunch with his family and McCoy to Longhorns. Tonight we are going to eat sushi, one of my favs! His birthday gift is a set of new golf clubs that he just got himself after selling his old ones. I don't like it when he knows what he is getting or not getting it on his birthday but for some reason we both always do that on our birthdays.
28 more days of school :)

Spring Break is here
Well it has finally got here and it doesn't feel like it really. I guess tomorrow when I wake up to feed McCoy and don't have to stay up and leave him I am sure it will hit me. So this Spring Break has already had a lot going on and it is only Sunday night.
Yesterday around 5:30p.m I got a call from my mom and shortly after my sister. Nora was having an allergic reaction to peanuts and Lauren needed some Benadryl to help her out. I got in the car with them to go to the store and quickly realized that her allergic reaction was pretty bad. I was in the back with Nora and we stopped to get Benadryl for her. I jumped in the front seat and started driving to the emergency room. Nora was not wanting to take the medicine on the way so Lauren was dipping her passie in it as much as possible.
Nora was itching her nose, eyes, coughing, and wheezing. Her face was extremely swollen and her right eye was pretty much shut. I drove as fast as I possibly could without getting in a wreck and it felt like it took forever. We finally made it to the emergency room and they took her right back. We had to hold her hands and feet down while they gave her a steroid shot and more Benadryl orally. It was so hard to do and to watch her in so much pain.
You could tell she was getting better and not so upset when the nurses were not poking at her and forcing her to drink things she did not want to drink. Hector got there and I was able to leave. She had to stay for 3 hours to make sure everything was okay. Now our family and especially Lauren's house will be peanut free.
So today the family came over and we had a cook out. Really it was just my mom, Lauren and her family, and our room mate Rusty. We were watching the Braves and it was beautiful outside. McCoy and Nora were crawling around the floor and the guys were cooking outside on the grill. Rusty was coming in and was in a hurry and McCoy was in the wrong spot at the wrong time. The door and McCoy's head met and it was not pretty. It was slow motion for me. He was hit square in the head. I think he couldn't breath for 30 seconds and then started screaming. I knew it hurt so bad....I hated to see him in pain. He got a perfectly straight bruise and and nice bump on his head. We were glad it was a bump...apparently that is better than nothing at all. I am sure this is just the beginning of many bumps and bruises to come.
